We always welcome new members. All you need to do is come to any Regular Meeting held every third Thursday of the month at the Delta Golf Club, 11550 Ladner Trunk Road, Delta . New members have to be sponsored by a present member, but don't let that stop you. We are a very friendly group and you will be well received. We do not have a "bricks and mortar" clubhouse and, because of that, our cost of operation is significantly lower than most other yacht clubs and that is reflected in our low annual dues. Unlike many other clubs, we also prorate our dues, so if you join any time during the calendar year, you only pay for the remaining months of that year. Our initiation fee is one of the lowest at $100, for which you receive a membership package that includes your name tags, burgee, and other useful information. The initiation fee is waived for a returning member.

If you would like to get more information, please email the Membership Officer, at membership@telus.net

He will be pleased to answer any questions you may have.

A word about Reciprocals.

Most people think of them as the ability to pull up to the docks of a reciprocal club and get free overnight moorage. That is true. But, that is only part of the story. You can use this feature on land as well. For example, your membership card can get you access to any Yacht Club in the World - not just by water, but by land as well. Many of our members have used this feature in Yacht Clubs all over the US and Canada as well as many other foreign countries. While there may be the odd exception, essentially you are welcome at any club anywhere. This can be a real benefit when travelling as, in most cases where they have dining facilities, the food is good and inexpensive. And the atmosphere is great!!

- An active social life — it can be as active as you want it to be!

- Participation in the
Victoria Harbour May 24th weekend opening each year. We are one of only three yacht clubs that is invited to do this.
